There are so many wonderful groups raising awareness and supporting the search for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Here are a few of the groups with which we actively participate.
As a member of Team Boomer, Kim participates in at least one event or race each year to fund raise for the Boomer Esiason Foundation. In 2016, she is participating in 7 races in honor of Colin's 7th birthday.
Kim was recognized as the Team Boomer Athlete of the Month in February of 2016.
This group is inspired by Liz, a woman with CF running to surpass the current CF life expectancy of 38. Anyone can log miles for OutRun 38 and the Facebook Group OutRun the Odds provides a fantastic support network.
This a group led by Emily, a woman in her 30s with CF. Rock CF runs several programs that support children and adults with CF and organizes a half marathon and other sporting events in the Detroit. You may have seen Emily's awesome They Keep You Alive T-shirt floating around social media. You can purchase your own and support this great foundation.
